If the preceding posts on Node.js and MongoDB have been too complex for you, let me introduce you to a simpler drag-and-drop “flow-editor,” Node-RED.. It was developed and open-sourced by IBM, and is now hosted by the OpenJS Foundation (the same foundation that hosts projects like jQuery, and Dojo). I’ve used Node-RED for quick prototypes and demos, as it’s easy to explain each step of the flow. It saves a lot of coding effort and reduces errors buy providing built-in and pre-built third-party “nodes”.

Grav with PHP 5.6 ini_set() fix

On my hosting provider, there is a slight tweak needed to get Grav to run on PHP 5.6. Here’s the solution:

Apple has noted that a number of users may experience an issue with iCloud setting being enabled after upgrading to iOS 10.3. For me, I had quite the opposite experience, as iOS 10.3 finally enabled some iCloud applications that I had never gotten working for a long time!

Installing Grav on OS X and cPanel Hosting

I opted to install Grav via the ZIP package, as documented here. My hosting provider does not give me shell access, so I would not be using git or the Grav Package Manager (GPM), but limiting myself to FTP or the cPanel File Manager.
